Brovar ruins in Voloduta village on the way to Rovanichi

On the way to Rovanichiwhere is the famous estate Slotvinsky и Ruins of St. Anthony's Church, meet the village Volodut. In this place, the buildings of the brovar and the alcohol store have been partially preserved. There are no “Historical Heritage” signs on the buildings, but brovar Voloduta was built at the beginning of the 20th century.

In every brovar that I managed to visit during the time trips in Belarus, something in common is guessed and almost everyone suffered the same fate.

Brovar in Volodut was made of rubble stone, so the walls are strong. What can not be said about the roof, which has long collapsed.

You involuntarily compare the brovar with other similar buildings. Eg brovar in ancient Bobovnya evokes more emotion and hope. It remains the impression that sooner or later it will be restored. There is not even a hint of this in Volodut. To briefly describe the state of this place, the best phrase would be: “A colorful abandoned place with a good landscape, interesting for connoisseurs of such places, but not for tourists“.
