In the historical center of the city Orsha preserved water Mill, built in 1902 year. Today it operates a local ethnographical museum with a fairly wide exposure.
It is possible that before the construction of the stone one, there was a simpler wooden mill on this site.
Orsha mill was used for its intended purpose even for some time after the end of World War II. Then the building was adapted for storage needs, and over time it gradually fell into disrepair.
In the early 90s, this object was included in the list of buildings for reconstruction under the Renaissance program. By 1994, all construction work was completed, and a year later a museum was opened here.
It is also worth paying attention to ancient bridge, which stylistically harmoniously fits into the architecture of the watermill.
This arched bridge was built at the same time as the mill in a similar architecture.
The museum is open on all days except Mondays. Hours of operation change from time to time, but usually 10: 00 to 18: 00, paid entrance.
Orsha is a unique city rich in sights. Be sure to visit the Jesuit Collegium, which also has a museum.
