Pleban is a small village on the way from Minsk в Molodechnolocated a few kilometers from the village red. Of the attractions here, it is worth highlighting the former bosom, which today is Orthodox Assumption Church.
The first Catholic church was built in Pleban in the 16th century under the prince Alexandra Jagiellonchik. That church was wooden and burned down during the Russian-Polish war in 1667. A new one was erected on the site of the old church in 1695. This church was consecrated in honor of Panna Maria, and the parish also extended to Catholics from Krasnoe. On the foundation of this temple, they will begin to build a stone church in 1800.
The construction of the church will take almost 50 years, it will be completed only in 1858.
The church is being turned into a church
Assumption церковь was formed in the village of Pleban in 1870. Reprofiling confessions, after the 1863 uprising, was the norm. In addition, it is known that the rebels kept weapons in the walls of the church.
As often happens, under Soviet rule, the temple turned into ruins. In the mid-90s, the Orthodox parish began a restoration, which has been going on with varying success.
However, at first glance, the silhouettes of a classical Catholic church are guessed.
Near the main entrance to the church is a massive three-tiered bell tower. The first two tiers are made of stone, and the upper one is wooden.
Across the street from the church is the Literary and Historical Museum. By the way, it is located in a building that used to be a plebanium.
In addition, there is an ancient cemetery in Pleban. Participants of the 1863 uprising are buried on it, including Sulistrovsky, who owned manor Yachymovshchyna. Church in the village of Pleban on the map:
