Bolkovo is a small village, almost on the very shore Lake Svir. The places here are beautiful and even a little wild, and there are almost no visitors, as all vacationers prefer the opposite coast. Once these lands belonged to the family Bychevskyunder which the distillery was built.
Most of the buildings in the complex date back to the early 20th century. The condition of the buildings is very different: for example, the distillery itself looks absolutely intact, and the fact that the place is abandoned is reported only by broken power lines and boarded up doors.
In Soviet times, the enterprise functioned and was not closed. In some moment distillery in Bolkovo converted into a fodder yeast plant. Probably during that period a metal warehouse building appeared (pictured below).
Literally a few kilometers away is the former Carmelite Monastery and Zasvirsky Church.
To the left of the main building is an alcohol store.
What else to see in this region? You should definitely go to the village of Svir, where Church of St. Nicholas. And if you go in the direction of Naroch, then along the way, look to explore ruins of the estate и temple in Shemetovo.
