In the village Lower Chernikhovo the old one is slowly collapsing brovar, which can be called a fairly typical example of an industrial architecture of Belarus early 20th century. Probably this plant was built under the Rdultovskys, who owned estate Chernikhovo.
The building itself is brick, two-story, significantly rebuilt in Soviet times.
In the late 90s, production was still operating within the walls of the brovar. Even in the photographs of 2006, the condition of the building is much better.
Why did it happen that the enterprise became abandoned? In fact, the history of the destruction of such places is almost always identical and sad. A few more years will pass and the brovar in Nizhny Chernikhovo will look the same as Obukhovichi distillery in Golovtsy.
Walking around the territory of the complex, it is clear that quite recently there was some kind of activity here. Part of the equipment was left, and part was sawn into metal.
The administrative floor of the brovar is completely collapsing. It is curious that the red brick walls here were covered with paintings with beautiful landscapes.
From the former distillery, the path leads to abandoned worker's house, built under the Gartings, who had a manor in Nizhny Chernikhovo.
If you want to look at the brovar, then don’t have big illusions. It is possible that on your arrival things will look even worse. Below is the point with the location on the map:
It is much more interesting to visit Verkhnyaya Chernikhovo, where you can see the restored the burial vault of the Rdultovskys and part of the estate with the surviving smoking tower.
