Village Great Lipa is located 120 kilometers from Minsk, in the Nesvizh region. This was once an estate Obukhovichiwho built here manor, many outbuildings, a brewery, as well as a church and tomb. The Obukhovichi estate has not been preserved, but you can see an interesting gate-stable, which attracts connoisseurs of the sights of Belarus here.
The unusual gateway and the stable adjacent on both sides appeared during the second reconstruction of the estate (late 19th – early 20th century).
Above the entrances to the stables you can see 2 stucco cartouche, depicting knights miraculously preserved.
The dimensions of the gate-stables are 48*9 meters, it is made of brick. The entrance gate was decorated with ribs, and the roof ended with a spire.
The Obukhoviches owned Velikaya Lipa from the middle of the 17th century, but the buildings of those times have not been preserved. The oldest building in the village is Church of the Intercession. The gateway, outbuilding and barn date back to the end of the 19th – first half of the 20th century.
Wing Velikaya Lipa
Today the building is abandoned, but partially mothballed. After the end of the war, there was a school within the walls of the wing, as well as the estate itself, then, as unnecessary, the building simply ceased to be used.
Despite this fact, the office (another name for the outbuilding) retained a certain charm: pseudo-Gothic columns in the corners, pointed blind arches on the first floor windows, stucco molding and bas-reliefs.
Once upon a time, the Obukhovichi library and archive were kept here. The manor house building was located close to this outbuilding; there are several old photographs depicting the house.
Almost nothing survived inside the wing. In places there are decorative elements, chimneys and a stove heating system, part of a fireplace are visible.
A large hole was dug in the floor, as if they were looking for a treasure(?). Some of the bricks are neatly stacked near the entrance. Most of the walls are “decorated” with drawings and foul language.
Barn in Velyka Lipa
The last building on the site of the former estate - barn, his condition is the most deplorable.
The building is almost square in shape. 10*12 meters, partly wooden, but the facade is made of brick. Of the three arched passages, only one has survived, the rest seem to have been destroyed.
Velikaya Lipa is an example of a once rich and prosperous estate, which today lies in ruins without much hope for reconstruction. Probably like my ex homestead in Zaushye, is listed on the balance sheet of the collective farm "September 17".
What else to see in these parts? Worth going to palace in Nesvizh и manor Rdultvosky, more sights of Belarus.
