On the western edge Pinsk once housed a palace and park complex on the banks of the navigable river Pina. In the 1940s, it completely became part of the city. According to sources, at the end of the XVIII century. the estate, together with the villages of Gonchary and Krainovichi, was exchanged to the Varvara Monastery for possessions in the village of Dubai. Before the beginning of the national liberation uprising, there was a Catholic chapel here, which, after the suppression of the uprising, was closed, and later destroyed.

Mergentaller Manor

In the 2nd half of the XIX century. the lands of the estate "Gai" belonged to the Bylevsky family, at the turn of the XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries. passed into the possession of Heinrich Susimel.

In the 1930s, the estate belonged to the Zvolinsky family, and under Yadwig Zvolinskaya it split into two estates - Podpinsk and Osmolovshchina. Their owners were Cheslav Mergenthaler and Yuri Osmolovsky.

Today, the place where the estate and estates were located is completely occupied by the industrial zone of the Pinskdrev and Pinsk Heating Networks enterprises.

The only evidence of the existence of the "Gai" estate are the remains of a larch alley (left side) and a palace built under Czeslaw Mergenthaler, an industrial magnate originally from Bavaria, about which there is little evidence. A 3-storey building made of plastered stone of non-traditional architecture is located in the ring of the industrial zone, around the outbuilding.

The entrance is highlighted by a shallow risalit in the form of two wide pylons on both sides. Inside, a staircase made of marble chips, carved metal ventilation grilles, covered with a dozen layers of oil paint, have been preserved. Today, families live in the house, but the availability of amenities in the apartments remains in doubt, since in the immediate vicinity of the site there is a water column, showers, and toilets. The upper floor (under-roof space) is not closed and littered with rubbish, which does not comply with fire safety rules.

There is no evidence that the object is protected by the state on the building. Other sights of Belarus on the mapand country tours.
