History of the estate

Jan Otan Bochwitz - this is the man who was the owner of the famous estate. Previously, it was the Nowicki property, acquired by Jan in 1897. Jan Otan was a hussar, took part in the Crimean War.

Being an opponent of serfdom, he was convicted for his beliefs and served his sentence in the Dinaburg fortress. After his release, he completely immersed himself in economic affairs and took up the construction of buildings on the banks of the river. Stumps.

It was an area in the middle of the forest, where it was originally planned to build exclusively utility buildings, but later Jan decided to lay out a beautiful park. The house was built in 1906, and the construction took only six months. This estate was named Pavlinovo in honor of Jan's mother.

The possessions of the Bokhvits gradually expanded and in 1911 amounted to 758 acres. After the death of Jan, the estate passed into the possession of the heirs. It was a favorite gathering place for the entire Bochvitsa family, where they rested and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The estate is located in the Baranovichi region, the village of Pavlinovo.
