One of the attractions Mstislavl - restored building Trinity Church on the central square of the city. The history of the temple began in the first half of the 19th century. The first stone church on this site was completed by 1834, but that building did not last long. After a devastating fire, the temple was rebuilt on the old foundation, the work was completed in 1865.

The Holy Trinity Church had a pronounced classical architecture. The dominant feature of the monument is a high bell tower. Look at the photo below of what the temple looked like before reconstruction.

Like most churches/cathedrals in Belarus, this Mstislavsky temple was closed with the advent of Soviet power. The building was partially rebuilt in the middle of the last century and for a long time was used for a variety of administrative needs: it was a museum, an educational institution, and even an archive. By the beginning of the 90s, the condition of the building left much to be desired, and it was problematic to recognize it as a former church. However, proactive people came up with a project to reconstruct the ancient temple and in 2007 the process began.

The long restoration work on the church was completed by 2016. Today, the temple in Mstislavl is active and open to parishioners and guests of the city. One of the main artifacts located here is a unique icon of Saint Silouan the Athonite.
