If you are looking for something to do for a couple of hours in the city Dubai and get a pleasant experience, I advise you to visit - The Green Planet. This is a kind of zoo where you can see many exotic birds, as well as sloths, lemurs and some other animals.
The complex is located near the most tourist metro station - Burj Khalifa, so the location is more than convenient. Green Planet is a 5-story building, the entire height of which is built with a tree on which all the local animals live.
The format of the excursion is quite unusual: you go through the ticket office and go down from top to bottom, studying and observing the animals.
Birds and animals move freely around the area here, but it is strictly forbidden to touch them or photograph them with flash. You should also avoid sudden sounds and movements. I read a lot of reviews that the place is great for children, I’ll add that it’s also great for adults who love and are interested in animals.
Walking around the tree you can observe communication between a variety of animal species. There are annoying parrots, giving no peace to the peacefully resting sloths, and then the lemurs started another quarrel and started racing.
There is also an area where amphibians, bats and even armadillos live.
Entrance fee is 160 dirhwams ($50) – this was at the time of my trip at the end of 2023. What’s interesting is that if you buy a ticket in advance, through an online service, the price will be slightly lower - 140 dirhams, for children - 120.
You can order here and here.
The Green Planet complex is located near a shopping center and a Canadian university. Buses 7 and 14 from the metro go here, below is the location on the map:
