Near Minsk, at a distance of 30 kilometers, there is a village Kalinino. Getting here is easy by car, but a little more difficult by public transport. From the sights here you can see the former the estate of the Yelsky family - “Ignatichi”.

A landscape park was laid out around the estate, which has retained the remnants of grandeur. In addition to the manor house itself, several outbuildings survived. One problem - almost everything is fenced and closed to the public.

Manor Ignatichi It is mentioned in the 17th century, when these lands belonged to the Khaletskik family. In 1858 the place was taken over by Vladimir Yelsky, who in a short time managed to establish a strong economy here.

However, as a supporter of the 1863 uprising, he was exiled to Chelyabinsk and never returned to Kalinino. The estate was inherited by Wilhelm Yelsky, an educated and successful young man. Under him, a park with rare trees and plants was laid. The estate complex continued to expand. An outbuilding, 2 entrance gates, a mill, a roof, three reservoirs and a cowshed for 700 heads were built.

In 1960, the old manor house burned down and was partially rebuilt.

Today, all the buildings of the Ignatichi estate are either mothballed or used by local residents for their own needs. Perhaps someday the estate in Kalinino will be restored, but for now there is not much point in going here.

Not far from these places there is another interesting attraction of the Minsk region - Palace in Priluki. Options for excursions in Belarus.
