The list tourist routes of Belarus addition - the first route in the form of a bison. The unusual path was created live with the help of cars using GPS trackers during a car quest organized by the A100 gas station. What to see near Minsk and about sightsincluded in the route, its developer said Evgeny Shaposhnikov.
Eugene has been studying for a long time unusual places in Belarusprofessionally organizes expeditions to anomalous zones and has been leading the Encounter project for over 17 years.
Eugene made similar routes more than once in other countries (Switzerland, Russia), but the “bison” chip is in non-trivial tourist spots with legends and stories - places where it will be interesting to come to people who no longer enjoy visiting Nesvizh и Mirsky locks.
Why bison?
Eugene together with A-100 gas station decided to break the stereotype that traveling around Belarus is boring, and all interesting objects are far beyond Minsk and take a lot of time. Compiled route that collected interesting places a couple of kilometers from the capital, runs along the contour of the Belarusian symbol - bison.
“A traditional Belarusian horse made of straw would be ideal: a horse is a transport, and straw is a fuel, and not only for it. But the drawing did not fit on the map. I tried, among other things, to make something symbolic: a stork, an outline of a country, a doll. Best of all, of course, the potato was suitable - whatever you draw, it turns out. But this is too primitive idea, so I decided to put interesting points on the map first, and then think about how to connect them. When I did this, I saw that MKAD-2 looked like the back of a bison. I really liked the idea, then I just had to pick up the points to match its shape - and everything matched perfectly. For example, the highway to the airport, which ends in a dead end, has become the tail of a bison, and the highest point in the country, Mount Dzerzhinskaya, has become an eye.”
The participants of the autoquest at the A-100 Gasoline Festival were the first to go along the route. Two crews led by TV presenter, blogger Marina Kondratieva and musician, leader of the Drozdy group Vitaly Karpanov left the A-100 gas station at the same time. At the same time, they also did not know about the points, nor about what the drawing on the map would be - they were guided by the prompts while moving. Thanks to GPS trackers, it was possible to watch the routes of cars live on social networks and guess what kind of pattern is obtained in their tracks.
What is interesting on the map?
The route along the contour of the bison has 15 points. As it turns out, close to Minsk there are indeed many remarkable places that few people know about.
One of the most notable points of the route are Raubichi, in the museum of which a wooden bowl is kept. She is a real artifact, mentioned in many magazines in Europe and America. But in Belarus, little is known about it. The bowl is a huge wooden ladle of the 12th century, hollowed out of a growth on a birch. It depicts XNUMX hunting scenes. Scientists say that, most likely, these are signs of the zodiac, and at that time such symbols could rarely be found on the territory of modern Belarus.
Another special place on the route is a wind generator in the village of Yankovtsy, Dzerzhinsky District, invented in the USSR. Our scientists looked at foreign experience and decided to do better, according to their own technology. The windmill has two blades in the form of pipes, you can even climb inside them. It is in working condition, sometimes it rotates, but it is no longer used as an energy generator.
В Rakov, which is also included in the route, you can also find many interesting places.
The border with Poland passed near the city and it was considered the capital of smugglers and crooks. An inverted pillbox from the Second World War has been preserved here. It is not the largest in size in Belarus, but the only one you can climb under.
Deviating a little from the route, you can find many more fascinating places. For example, the old settlement from which Minsk was born. And having driven only 5 kilometers from the bison contour, you can get to CHPP-5 and take cool photos with fountains.
For those who have already been to Mir and Nesvizh
The link to the route of 368 km can be easily loaded into your navigator and set off in search of interesting places. You won’t have to drive far from Minsk and it will take only 6 hours, taking into account the stops.
A-100 filling station has prepared four more routes for travel, on which you can spend the entire tank of fuel.
These routes are compiled not only for Belarusians, but also for guests of our country who are oversaturated with standard excursions to castles and want to see something new and not hackneyed. For example, huge Bronze Age boulders with hollowed out holes. No one knows how they were used: either as altars, or as wells into which the blood of the victim flowed, or as navigational maps to navigate through the holes during the day, as if by stars. From the Bronze Age, in fact, only barrows and these stones remained in Belarus.” Eugene, as a ufologist, travels a lot around the country with research expeditions and sees such stones in different parts of it.
According to Evgeny, often people start laughing when they hear about ufology, but he works with a team of scientists that travels around Belarus, investigates anomalous phenomena, explains them from the point of view of science and very often refutes their miraculousness. The researcher says: “For example, when we take wool for analysis "chupacabra", it turns out that in three cases it is the hair of a ferret, and in two cases it is a dog. Once a teacher from a village near Brest called us and said that she had found huge footprints in the form of spirals in the snow. It turned out that local schoolchildren who are bored make them at night. During the night, the tracks freeze slightly and look mystical..
“There are still many interesting places in Belarus, says Eugene. - I have traveled to more than 30 countries and I can say that we underestimate our forests. For us, this is something common, but in Europe they are not there - everything was cut down. V USA beautiful nature, but to see it, you need to go to national park. I'm not even talking about the Middle East. For foreigners, just walking around our forests is already very cool.”.
