В Belarus install charging complexes for electric vehicles, which have no analogues in the CIS. Innovations will also affect the regions. 18 complexes with 6 charging stations in each - unique charging complexes are installed in Minsk network of EZS Malanka. Each station has a capacity of 50 kW, which allows owners of electric cars to recharge the charge for 30-40 kilometers in just 10 minutes. Such complexes are the know-how of Belarusian developers.

charging complexes for electric vehicles in Belarus

By March of this year, there are more than 2500 electric vehicles. The popularity of sustainable transport continues to grow. According to Malanka experts, this year their number will triple and exceed 7500 units.

In order to enable drivers of electric vehicles to be able to charge quickly and conveniently, Malanka is installing new charging complexes, as well as reducing the distance between EZS stations. January 2021 Lanka in Minsk has overcome the milestone of 300 stations, by the end of the year in the capital, which accounts for the lion's share of the country's electric fleet, more than 60 stations will appear. Among them are electric charging complexes for 6 charging stations. In the near future, such complexes will appear on the streets:

  • Komsomolskaya, 34;
  • Zhinovich, 7;
  • Newspapers “Zvezda” 16;
  • Miroshnichenko, 3.

There are no electric charging stations, where 6 electric vehicles can be charged at the same time at fast stations, in any of the CIS countries. So, Ukraine recently presented the largest charging complex in the country, which consists of 4 charging stations.

"Each station on the electric charging complex has a capacity of 50 kW, which allows you to charge quickly. We install them near shopping and administrative centers, as well as not far from the Moscow Ring Road. The choice of installation site is not accidental. Electric charging complexes allow you to simultaneously charge several electric vehicles in places where it is needed. Arriving at a shopping center or leaving the city, drivers do not need to wait in the parking lot until the only charging column is free, but can quickly and without a queue recharge the car in just half an hour", - says the deputy director of the production association "Belorusneft" Andrey Kotik.

This year, the first charging complexes with up to 6 charging stations will appear in all regional cities of Belarus, and Malanka plans to reduce the distance between neighboring EZS on highways to 80 km. Now the distance between the stations is 100-150 kilometers. Until this year, drivers traveling in Belarus experienced discomfort on some sections of the route, as an accessible power plant could be occupied by another electric vehicle. In 2021, Malanka has developed a plan, according to which additional charging bollards will be installed on the main highways of the country. V Logoisk, Borisov, Luninets districts, near the settlement of Krasnoye (Gomel region), charging stations with a capacity of 150 to 180 kW will appear, capable of fully charging the battery of an electric vehicle in half an hour.

"Manufacturers of electric vehicles around the world are now striving to reduce the time it takes to charge them. Tesla is phasing out fast EZS and installing super-fast chargers with a capacity of 250 kW, where an electric car can recharge a charge for 20 kilometers in just 450 minutes. Malanka also strives to meet the needs of drivers. In 2022, we plan to launch a pilot complex with super-fast charging, the capacity of one station is up to 350 kW, which will allow charging an electric car for 10 km in 340 minutes. While many cautiously look away electric transport just because a lot of time is spent on charging and it is not always easy to find a charging station within walking distance. The new charging complexes will become a kind of filling station for electric vehicles, since the charging time at such complexes will be comparable to the time of refueling a car with gasoline. And with the development of electric transport, this time will still decrease.”, Andrey Kotik clarified.
