Vasilishki is a village in Shchuchinsky district, Grodno region. From Leads the distance is about 35 kilometers. Main attraction in Vasilishki village - is bosom in late baroque architecture.
Church of St. John the Baptist built at the Dominican monastery in 1769.
The stone version of the temple was built on the site of a wooden predecessor. Dominican monks settled on these lands as early as 1658 (the date the monastery was founded).
After the uprising of 1830-31, the monastery was closed. In 1868 the church was transferred to the Orthodox Church. Returned to the Catholics only in 1919. A little later, from 1922 to 1928 it was reconstructed.
A three-arch gate was built in front of the entrance to the territory of the temple. The exact date of construction is unknown. However, the style and form indicate that the gate is the same age as the church itself.
A monument was erected in 2005 John Paul II. (similar sculptures are found in other churches in Belarus: mosar, Volozhin, Voist).
Behind the building of the church of St. John the Baptist there is a plebanium and a real landscape park - be sure to take a walk.

In Soviet times, the church in Vasilishki was closed. It was returned to believers in the 80s, reconstructed again and open to all comers.
