porplische is a small agricultural town in the Vitebsk region, located on a section of the road between settlements Deep and Dokshitsy. Passing through these places, you can see Church of the Virgin Mary the Queen.
Catholic church in Porplische laid down before the outbreak of World War II, approximate date of construction 1937-1941 years. Made of wood in a rather interesting architecture, the authors may have been inspired by the neighboring church.
During the councils, the Church of the Virgin Mary the Queen was closed, there were even plans to demolish it. Fortunately, the temple survived and was returned to the Catholics at the end of the 20th century. In 1993, the reconstruction of the building began, after which the church was reopened.
An interesting single-arch gate made of small stone was built in front of the entrance to the territory.
Finding this temple is not difficult at all, it is located at the intersection of the P3 highway and Irina Kurets street, next to the post office.
Across the road from the church is another attraction in Porplische - Church of the Transfiguration. see more interesting places in Belarus on the map.
