В Shilovichi village there is one of the highest temples in Belarus, which can even compete with Trinity Church in Gervyaty. Its height is about 55 meters (Gervyatsky temple - 61 meters). Church in Shilovichi dated 1914 year, and work on its construction was carried out for a long 8 years.

In terms of its architecture, the Trinity Church is a representative of Neo-Gothic monuments. Made of red brick with a large abundance of decorative elements. It consists of one four-tiered tower, a 3-sided apse and two sacristies.

The Catholic parish in the village of Shilovichi has been known in history since 1511 years. At the beginning of the 17th century, a wooden church was built here, with the money of the then owner of the town - Krishtof Veselovsky. A little later, in 1642, the Veselovskys transferred their estate to Brigid monastery from Grodno.

The Shilovichi church surprises not only with its architecture, but also with its interior. The naves of the temples are divided by lancet arched openings, and the walls are decorated with carved wooden panels.

According to rumors, rebels who participated in the battles of 1863 were secretly buried in the dungeons of this temple.

It is interesting that the stone temple was not built on the spot, but in the neighborhood of its predecessor, and the parishioners donated money for its construction (10 rubles each). The very first wooden church (1600) stood in Shilovichi until 1926 years.

Shilovichi are equally distant from Big Berestovitsy and Volkovysk (about 15 kilometers each). The Trinity Church is the dominant of the whole village, it is clearly visible even at the entrance.

There are many interesting churches in these parts: Gniezno, Zelvinsky, Replinsky and Mstibovsky.
