Agrogorodok Repla located in Volkovysk district, Grodno region. Near the village passes the P100 highway connecting Berestovitsa and the city Bridges. The main and most interesting attraction of the Repla village is a massive Church of the Virgin Mary.
The Catholic parish was founded in these parts in 1632 year, at the same time the first wooden temple was built. The modern stone church that can be seen today was built at the beginning of the 20th century.
Temple of the Virgin Mary finished in 1909. The building amazed and fascinated with its neo-Gothic architecture. High two-tiered towers, a rectangular apse and sacristy were decorated with stepped pinnacles. Along the perimeter of the church there are buttresses, as well as many decorative niches and arched windows.
Above the main façade is a round stained-glass window.
The interior decoration is divided into three naves of the temple.
During the war, the church in the village of Repla was closed, and then a granary was organized in it.
There are several other interesting objects on the territory of the temple. One of which is brick three-arch gate, stylized as a church and probably also built at the beginning of the 20th century.
The second object is ossuary.
The Church of the Virgin Mary also has its own interesting mysterious history associated with the builders of the temple.
If you look closely at the walls, you can see handprints on many bricks. Either intentionally, or by chance, someone simply hurried to take out the brick that had not cooled down, thereby perpetuating their traces in the history of the church.
