Literally 12 kilometers from the city of Lyakhovichi, Brest region, you can see Church of St. Peter and Paul. One-tower temple located in the village Medvedici, clearly visible even at the entrance. The stepped facade of the church has a tiered structure, which ends with a high spire with a bell tower. The construction of the Peter and Paul Church was completed in 1908, on the site of a wooden predecessor, according to the project of a fairly well-known Polish architect - Stefan Schiller. Since Stefan was a representative of the eclectic style, the characteristic elements of mixing are also visible in the church.
The new church in Medvedici was solemnly consecrated on August 6, 1910, and the first priest was appointed Yana Eismont.
On the facade of the temple there is an inscription in Latin "Gloria Deo", which is probably shortened from the name of the liturgical hymn "Gloria in excelsis Deo" - "Gloria". A little lower is the figure 1908, as I wrote above, the date of completion of construction.
Despite the difficult period of atheism in Soviet times, the temple remained active.
The church in Medvedici also has features of the neo-baroque style, which can not often be found on the territory modern Belarus.
