Various towers, including water towers, in Belarus a huge number have been preserved. However, there are not so many truly unique and interesting in terms of architecture. For example, in a village ringing, Vitebsk region, located water towerdesigned by an engineer Shukhov Vladimir Georgievich. It was he who first realized the idea of building hyperboloid structures, as well as metal mesh shells. As you can see, all these techniques are implemented in the tower at the railway station Kokhanovo.

The tower was built a little less than a hundred years ago - in 1929 year. It was built in a specially chosen place and with a clear plan: according to the idea, trains coming from Orsha stopped at the Kokhanovo station to refuel with water. For its intended purpose, the tower was used for quite a long time even in the post-war years.
