On the road H6054 leading from Grodno to Sopotskin there are several interesting objects, including the defensive fort number 2. The construction of this section of the Grodno fortification was carried out from 1913 to 1915.
In early September 1915, during the offensive of the German troops, the soldiers defending Fort II were ordered to leave their positions and undermine the defensive structure.
Today you can see a massive concrete parapet with places for firing points. Also clearly visible are the planning solutions laid down by military engineers initially: ditches and earthen embankments.
On the territory of the complex there is a memorial cross and plates with the names of people who were shot during the Second World War.
