Weekends not according to the pattern - Dukorsky Maentak. Visiting the Oshtorpov estate

What's this? Where is it? Never heard? We have good news: perhaps you even managed to visit there. And the name "Dukorsky Maentak» says anything? Yes Yes. This is one and the same beautiful place, which became famous for the first upside down house in the country. But, believe me, there is still a lot of interesting things worthy of your attention. Go!

How to get to Dukora?

We leave from Minsk towards Maryina Gorka, at the entrance to Ducore we follow the information and guidance signs and easily find the entrance alley that leads to the museum complex itself. Why museum? Yes, because already at the entrance we are met by a monument of architecture of the 19th century - entrance gate. Brama of the same Oshtorpov estates, which was mentioned in the title of the article. There is even an annual summer festival in her honor!

The palace itself, unfortunately, was destroyed during the Great Patriotic War. You can contemplate it in the works of Napoleon Orda or look into the wing that has survived to this day, which now functions as a museum. Here you can also get acquainted with the history of the Dukora itself since the 15th century.

We leave the car in the parking lot and go to the gate to buy tickets. The cost is quite acceptable for such a place (6-8 BYN). But we were lucky enough to additionally purchase a discount coupon. From this figure in the check has become even more attractive. Additional amenities: children under 10 years old are admitted free of charge! Conclusion - a great place for a budget family outdoor vacation! Parents, take note.

Here (in the gate) there is also a souvenir shop. If you wish, you can immediately purchase commemorative trophies so as not to stand in line twice. But we advise you not to rush into this yet.

The entrance ticket has a printed guide (in three languages), which we have resorted to from time to time since we were there for the first time. To help tourists and beautifully designed signs on the territory. It should be noted that all of them are in Belarusian language.

A child arrived in our company, which means that the first thing we do is head to the zoo. Already here you have ducks, and ostriches, and pigs, and even a camel.

The kids will appreciate it! For a nominal fee, you can buy greenery and feed the animals. By the way, next to the zoo and the beds were noticed.

Here, too, there was room for dreams. You can ask for the fulfillment of a cherished desire by going up to the majestic oak. It is simply impossible not to notice him on the way to the zoo.

Visitors show considerable interest in the street of masters. Everyone is absolutely free to try their hand at traditional crafts or buy ready-made products they like, for example, wax candles, pottery, weaving items. We chose wax candles with sage essential oil for ourselves. Bought a candle making kit as a gift. The elementary school student appreciated the present!

Behind the workshops there is a distillery and a forge. Outdoor enthusiasts can rent boats, catamarans, go through an obstacle course or learn how to throw axes, knives and spears (they are also throwing spears). But it seemed to us that the most popular entertainment that day was riding in a cart. Please note: all these pleasures come at an additional cost and are not included in the price of the entrance ticket.

Guess the riddle: the cat is not a scientist, but tells fairy tales. In the Dukor variant, the answer may be an unusual glade of fairy tales. We met this for the first time. There are fabulous installations behind glass in small huts without chicken legs. We press the button - and now your favorite fairy tale gives pleasure. You can sit on a nearby bench and have fun. Guessed from the photo which fairy tale we listened to first?

Combining pleasant with very pleasant, we decided to arrange a small snack here. Fortunately, these needs of visitors are taken into account. So you don't have to bring food with you.

By the second half of the day, the newlyweds arrived at the estate with their guests. The guests took selfies, photographed each other against the background of various “photo zones”, while the newlyweds were busy creating a family photo archive. By the way, visiting guests here can be accommodated for the night in guest houses. If memory serves, there are 5 of them. Very convenient and prudent! For those who like to take a steam bath, there are bathhouses.

We cannot fail to mention the wooden playground, neatly made benches and even litter bins with a special design. There are also many interesting carvings and compositions.

The “Pleasant Surprise of the Day” award rightfully deserves a building with a WC sign. Usually we go to such places with apprehension and intrigue, you see. To say we were surprised is an understatement. This is also a kind of masterpiece, worthy of attention. Photo, unfortunately not: besides us there were other visitors.

An unconditional magnet for visitors and a hallmark of the complex is the upside down house. To be honest, the reality did not exceed expectations. The interior looks like someone got rid of old things from the apartment and moved them to the country house. And this is the same two-story country house. But the essence of this structure, of course, is not in this. Do not be lazy and read the information plate in front of the building. Learn about the world's first upside down house and the features of its Belarusian brother. In the meantime, the head is not completely spinning, we take a photo for memory and go to the exit. We do not recommend staying here for a long time. Instead, we advise you to take a walk around the territory and find a small copy of the upside down house, if it has not yet caught your eye.

Be sure to charge your cameras/phones and free up space on your memory cards before you travel. We got a lot, no sooooo many shots!

You know, it's very nice to be here, you want to come back here. And we never regretted that we planned to spend our weekend here. And in parting, a little advice: come in the morning to have time to enjoy all this splendor.
