Today's Akhremovtsy in the Vitebsk region, this is a medium-sized agro-town located near Lake Drivyaty. Of the attractions here I want to highlight chapel-tomb of the Plater family. However, back in the early 20th century, these places were known as the estate Belmont with a huge park, a palace and a chapel. (note since 1976 the Belmonts have been united with the Akhremovtsy)

And if the landscape park, spread over an area of 65 hectares, (at that time probably the largest manor park Belarus) is partially preserved, there is no trace left of the palace. Palace in Belmont has an intricate chronology and history. In the picture Napoleon Orda 1870, it is clearly seen that part of the building is already in ruins.

But palace chapel (the building to the right of the two-story volume) is completely intact. It is interesting that in the old photographs of the 30s, the 20th century, this temple looks functioning. (below photo Yana Bulgakamade in 1939)

Many surnames are connected with the palace and it is rather problematic to establish who started the construction. There are two main options: shells и Potocki, with the date even more difficult, probably a two-story stone palace built in the middle of the 18th century.

К Broel Plateram Belmont and Akhremovtsy moved from 1820 to 1830, just at that time they were actively expanding their possessions. Around the same time, they got a large estate in Opsa (the estate was preserved there).

And what about the chapel-tomb near the road?

Dated 1858 year, the architecture resembles a smaller version of the neo-Gothic church.

On the sides of the cemetery, stone buildings made of rubble stone have been preserved. In shape, they are somewhat similar to gatehouses or possibly ossuaries.

The fence, like the tomb, is brick with decorative arches and gates.

Many sources indicate that the last owner from the Plater family started the construction of a new palace at the beginning of the 20th century. Unfortunately, no photographs and drawings have been preserved, there is only information that the estate burned down during the war.

Chapel-tomb of the Plater family can be found near the P3 highway, on the site connecting Braslav and Sharkovshchina. Below is a mark with the location on the map:

If you are traveling to these parts from Minsk, then along the way you can make a stop in the city Deep, as well as visit church in Mosar.
