Back in the mid-90s, the last century, the temple was abandoned and was a ruin. Initially, the church in Semkov Gorodok was founded in 1802, with the support of Adam Khmara, who owned the neighboring Semkovo. The church had features of late baroque and early classicism. In 1866 the temple was in front of the Orthodox Church. After the Second World War, the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin was not used and began to collapse.
After the reconstruction of the early 2000s, the building has significantly changed its appearance. The facade was changed and the pediment was completely redone, it began to look simpler, instead of decorative elements, 3 small arched windows appeared.
Today, the church in Semkov Gorodok is functioning, services are being held.
The temple is located on Sadovaya Street, a little away from the main street of the village.
