Village Dudakovichi known since the beginning of the 16th century. Once there was a Dominican monastery and church here, probably closed for participation in the uprising of 1830-31. Church of the Intercession, which is now abandoned, was built on the site of the same church in the second half of the 19th century.
The church is a flat square with an elevated octagonal drum. In terms of architecture, the temple can be attributed to eclecticism; some sources indicate Byzantine style.
There are enough stylized arches and openings in the external decor. Despite the neglected state of the temple, the cornices and stucco molding are well preserved.
The vault of the church rests on massive 4 columns forming 12 internal arches, it looks very interesting.
Part of the roof has already collapsed, but the dome continues to hold.
The Intercession Church in Dudakovichi was closed in 1917. The building began to be used for the needs of the collective farm - a granary was organized. However, at some point, the building was simply abandoned, ceasing to be exploited.
In the early 90s, there were certain plans to restore the temple, but the work never began.
Dudakovichi are located on the border of the Vitebsk and Mogilev regions, the church is easy to find, look at the mark on the map:
