Village Duboe (in some sources dubai), is located in the Pinsk region. Like all Polesie as a whole, this place is rich in sights. The history of the region is connected with the surname Kuzhenetskywho bought the Dubay estate after the closure of the Jesuit monastery in 1773. Representatives of the family actively invested in the development of Duboe: they built a manor and a Catholic chapel, expanded the manor park, and laid a paved road. Among other things, they erected Uniate Church.
The small temple was completed in 1811 year right on the site of the former monastery. This construction was initiated Clotilda Kuzhenetskaya, the daughter of the first owners of the town of Duboe.
The church is rectangular in shape, made in the architectural style classicism. The temple is richly decorated with pilasters, and along the perimeter there is a decorative cornice. All windows are arched, which complements the interesting appearance of the church. The general view slightly spoils the vestibule of the temple, which was obviously completed in the Soviet period.
On the territory of the temple preserved wooden bell tower, built already in the second half of the 19th century, when the church became Orthodox.
Interesting fact: footage from Church of the Nativity of the Virgin can be seen in the movie Korsh-Sablin "The First Trials" (1960-1961). He was filmed, including in the vicinity of Duboe, Pinsk and Drogichin.
On unique footage of this film, based on the trilogy Yakub Kolas "On the Rosstans", you can see the interior of the church. In addition, to see how the main entrance looked (to the terrible vestibule) and the area around.
Another interesting sight, flashing in the frames of the film, is old priest's house, today partly abandoned. It is located a little further from the temple along Cherry Street. Built of wood in the early 20th century.

If you are in these places, I advise you to visit Ivanovo and abandoned church near the village of Yazviny.
