The village of Borovka, Vitebsk region, is a kind of suburb of Verhnedvinsk, where there are several small attractions. Perhaps the main of which is the Orthodox Church of St. Euphrosyne of Polotskbuilt in the first half of the 19th century.

Church of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk in the village of Borovka

The temple in Borovka has a rather traditional architecture with elements of classicism style. Construction of the building began in 1840 and finished in 1844. The church has been closed since 1930.

In Soviet times, a warehouse for fertilizers was located here, then a local club and even a construction workshop. After the church was returned to believers in 1992, reconstruction began. During these works, the iconostasis was restored, the bell tower was repaired, the walls were plastered and the windows were replaced.

Today the temple is active, located on the main street of the village, below the mark on the map:

If you are in these parts, I recommend going to Leonpol, where you can see the Lopatinsky estate and a memorial column of 1791. Also worth noting neo-Gothic temple in Sarya, which by the way was also built by the Lopatinskys.
