One of the significant and interesting sights of the Ivatsevichi district, Grodno region, can safely be called an 18th-century church in the village Busyage. It is noticeable from the architecture that this building was originally built as bosom, however, for most of its history it is used as an Orthodox церковь.

The construction of the Busyazhsky church began in 1773 with the support of Carthusian monks from Bereza. After 6 years, in 1779, the temple in late baroque architecture was completely finished.

Assumption Church (Busyazh)

The single-nave temple is a rectangular volume decorated with figured attics on both sides. From the facade there is still a small tower, and on the reverse side there is an apse, which today is used as the Church of the Intercession.

A beautiful multi-linear cornice runs along the perimeter, and false columns cut through the walls.

Church of the Dormition in the village of Busyazh

After World War II, the church was closed until 1973, then returned to believers and restored.

Stork on the roof of the temple

It is not difficult to find this attraction, it is located in the very center of the town of Busyazh, below is a point with a mark on the map:

Since the church is located on the road connecting Slonim and Kossovo, then a whole tourist route is formed along the way. I recommend to look into Novodevyatkovichi, where there is another ancient temple and the tomb of the Slug family.
