Beshenkovichi - an urban settlement in the Vitebsk region, the road here from Minsk will take about 2 and a half hours. Vitebsk much closer than 50 kilometers and only about 40 minutes. The village has an interesting attraction - a church Holy Prophet Elijah.
The temple was built of red brick in 1870 on the site of an old church of the 15th century. The church in Beshenkovichi is a vivid example of the architectural style - pseudo-Russian architecture.
The temple is decorated with 5 octagonal towers, decorated with classic ancient Russian domes, and in one of the towers there is a bell tower. The building has undergone many changes, but still retains historical value. After the reconstruction, the red brick was hidden under a layer of white plaster. The roof has also been redone.
