The village of Bastuny is not the most popular place for tourists, but still there is one interesting architectural monument here - this is the one of the same name railroad station “Bastuns”. An unusual building with features of Art Nouveau architecture and the so-called Zakopane style can be seen at the intersection of Sovetska and Oktyabrska streets.
It is known that the station itself in Bastuny appeared back in 1884, but the stone building is more recent and dates back to the first half of the 20th century. Probably built during the period when the village was part of interwar Poland.
The building has a complex broken roof with a figured front. On the track side, the pediment is more triangular. A similar station project can be seen in neighboring Benyakony, as well as in Nekhachevo and Ozernitsa.
Below is a dot marking the location of the station:
If you are in these parts, I also recommend visiting the Church of St. George in Ossovo.
