Walking around the central part Mstislavl you can get acquainted with the typical city buildings of the late 19th – first half of the 20th century. Here you will find the former military administration building, the noble assembly “Paris”, the zemstvo administration, a restored inn, the treasury and of course malls.
The buildings of the shopping arcades face Pirogovskaya, Kalinina and Komsomolskaya streets. All the buildings have quite different architecture, which can be called eclectic (a mixture of neoclassicism and modernism is visible here).
The Mstislavskie trading rows are built of red brick and have one floor. What is nice is that all the buildings are still used for trade today.
The main square of the city, named after Peter Mstislavets, is located nearby.
There is also a monument to one of the first Belarusian book printers; the monument was erected in 2001.
Near Jesuit church There is a three-story building where the Paris Hotel was once located.
And here in the photo below is a beautiful two-story building on Lenin Street 28, at the beginning of the 20th century the zemstvo administration worked here.
Below is a point with a mark of the shopping arcade on the map:
In Mstislavl I also recommend visiting the complex Carmelite monastery with the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and ancient castle.
